Spring always reminds me of fishing with my grandpa when I was young. The sense of self reliance, responsibility, and the pearls of wisdom he would drop while standing on the shore of a stream or lake come flooding back. It’s time for me to share this with my grandkids and get the flies and spinners out to try and catch some fish. But more importantly, let them know that they are important.
I can’t just go out and fish with a standard lure case though. I am a maker after all. I have to have a fancy wood, customized, hingeless box that honors and showcases my fancy lures.
So here is how I made the padauk and acrylic lure box that I will be using when I take my grandson fishing.
