Solar Powered Address Sign

Probably the most unique thing i’ve done since the cornhole boards. Learn how to make your own light up, solar-powered, automatic address numbers.

These are great for those who order food in the evenings from grub-hub or doordash. I showed this to a police officer friend of mine and he said everyone should have one. When he is responding this would make his response time so much faster. Such a great idea for family members with health issues who may need medical to find their house in a hurry as well.

The practical reasons aside, having this on your door when you invite friends over will make them feel welcome and add a ‘shiny’ sense of style to your home.

Beautiful Fly Box

Spring always reminds me of fishing with my grandpa when I was young. The sense of self reliance, responsibility, and the pearls of wisdom he would drop while standing on the shore of a stream or lake come flooding back. It’s time for me to share this with my grandkids and get the flies and spinners out to try and catch some fish. But more importantly, let them know that they are important.

The first fish I caught all by myself.

Me and my grandpa fishing when I was 5

I can’t just go out and fish with a standard lure case though. I am a maker after all. I have to have a fancy wood, customized, hingeless box that honors and showcases my fancy lures.

So here is how I made the padauk and acrylic lure box that I will be using when I take my grandson fishing.

For That Special Mom

Mother’s should be celebrated for all they sacrifice so that we can simply exist. The good ones should be praised for all they give so that we may be great.

What I design in this episode.

Above is dedicated to my mother and hopefully you will like the idea and want to make one for your mother as well.

Below is an in depth video on how to design a box like this for the CNC matchine. I use carveco as my toolpath software, but the principles in the design are the same no matter what you use to create your toolpaths. As long as it supports v-carving from a vector file.

I made this as a gift for some friends, but made a mistake along the way. Learn what not to do in this video.

Flush Cut Saw

The Table Saw I use, good for woodworking, great for jobsite.

Here is the chisel set I used in the video. Decent starter set for the price.

Must Have

Great pack of various veneers. Good place to start for experimenting.

I use these on pretty much every glue up. They clean up great and should be in every wood workers shop for the price.
